SERVICES
Meet Andrew Merelis

Growing up, I loved two things: video and the stage. My mom was an actress who was always excited to watch her archival performance tapes, but I was struck by how those poor-quality recordings failed to capture the magic of live theater. That gap lit a fire in me.

By the time I was in high school, I was experimenting with multi-camera recording and editing — and when I got the chance to record a musical for the school, the positive response from the cast and production team proved I was onto something. Soon, neighboring schools were asking me to capture their productions, and my passion became a calling.

In 2002, while studying Film and Television Production at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, I founded Merelis Productions to bring professional, cinematic-quality videography to performances, presentations, and events of all kinds. Today, I lead a boutique team of New York City artists who share my commitment to making every event unforgettable on screen.
Don’t let your milestone moments pass by unnoticed. Every benefit, gala, or anniversary has a story worth celebrating. With the right video, those moments can inspire donors, honor your legacy, and connect deeply with your audience. In this example, we combined sit-down interviews, archival footage, and custom B-roll into a powerful video that brought our client’s story to life.
“Merelis Productions is by far the best video production team we have ever worked with in New York City. You get the highest quality from trained professionals. They offered us different pricing choices and worked with our school to determine the best option based on our needs. The final product is superbly impressive and rivals any Broadway show recording. Reliable. Hassle-free. Friendly.”
